St Agnes college honours two faculties in recognition of their achievement

Mangaluru, Aug 1: On Saturday, Jul 31 2021, Associate Professor Dr R Nagesh and Dr Hithakshi B, were honoured by Sr Dr Lydia A C Superior & Joint Secretary St Agnes Convent & Institutions.

It can be recollected that in April this year, Dr R Nagesh was conferred with the Red Diamond Achiever Award 2020-21 in recognition of his contribution in sport & literary contribution.

Speaking during the felicitation, Dr Nagesh the veteran Army officer who has also served 20-years in the army said that everyone must contribute to the betterment of institutions and society. “We must grow by changing our thoughts as per the changing times of the society. Else we will feel disconnected from society,” he said.

Dr Hithakshi B who was CTO, NCC Airwing was recently commissioned as Flying Officer, is now the ANO. She thanked the management, family, and her colleagues for encouraging and supporting her to attend the course. “Although I had to face a lot of challenges in the beginning. I did not give up. Driven by the support that was shown to me, I was committed to the course and completed the training,” she said.

Congratulating the felicitated staff, Sr Dr Lydia A. C. said that Dr Nagesh and Dr Hithakshi were driven by their own commitment and society and the country needs people like them.

Dr Shailaja H G Associate Professor from Hindi Department introduced Dr Nagesh and Lt Gayathri B K, ANO of Army Wing introduced Dr Hithakshi, to the audience.

Assistant Professor, Amora Monteiro compered the event and Associate Professor Dr Adelaide Saldanha and group invoked the session into prayer

Sr Dr Venissa AC Principal, Sr Roopa Rodrigues, the Vice Principal, Sr Carmel Rita AC the Administrator, Charles Pais, the Registrar were present at the occasion.
