Bantwal, Aug 7: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal Bantwal unit have registered a police complaint at the rural police station here alleging portrayal of Hindu deity on social media in an indecent manner.
“The malicious writing in the social media has hurt the religious sentiments of majority Hindus. Such messages spoil the communal harmony in the district. The miscreants should be arrested immediately and suitable legal action should be taken against them. The police should make sure that such messages do not appear in the social media again,” they stated in the complaint.
Bajrang Dal district convener Gururaj Bantwal, VHP Bantwal unit secretary Suresh Benjanapadav, Bajrang Dal Bantwal unit convener Shivaprasad Tumbe, Bajrang Dal Bantwal unit’s Prasad Shivajinagar, Rathish Ramalakatte, Kiran Podikala, Vineeth Tumbe and activists of Bajrang Dal Bantwal unit were present.
