Mangaluru, Aug 9: Commandant of home guards Dr Murli Mohan along with Coastalwood actor Arjun Kapikad launched ‘KA 19/20 United Offroaders’, an off-roading group with a unique motive, here at Pacchanady ground on Monday August 9.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Murli Mohan said, “I am extremely happy that people are coming together connecting man to the society and machine. Off-roading is not only entertainment and fun here, but there is a human touch in it. ‘KA 19/20 United Offroaders’ will join hands with the district administration to help the needy.”

Actor Arjun Kapikad, wishing the best said, “This is a first in Mangaluru. We are will really proud of it.”

‘KA 19/20 United Offroaders’ have come up with the vision of man and machine to serve the society. Unity is the key factor here along with having the roots of Mangaluru and Udupi. While many take off-roading as an adventure sport, ‘KA 19/20 United Offroaders’ have broken this stereotype through their action. During the recent cyclone, the team members joined hands with the disaster management team and their vehicles came in handy during the tough time. The team is in talks with the home guards and other departments to lead the future missions.

President of ‘KA 19/20 United Offroaders’ Avinash Adappa and vice president Chithresh Shetty was also present.
