Karnataka records 1,186 new coronavirus cases, positivity rate at 0.89%

Bengaluru, Aug 9: Karnataka on Monday, Aug 9 registered 1,186 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 23,316. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 296.

As many as 24 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Monday, with Bengaluru Urban recording one death, the death toll in the state has risen to 36,817.

The state recorded 1,776 discharges from hospitals on Monday, taking the total discharges to 28,59,552.

So far, Karnataka has seen 29,19,711 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.89% while the case fatality rate for the day is 2.02%.

As many as 3,31,06,544 people have received vaccination so far.

    3 rd wave will effect the children. The virus is so smart that first wave it attacked the aged , second wave the young and now it’s searching for children. If you check reality, in Índia 2 lak children die of pneumonia and diarrhoea. The media never has ever shown this. This time they will get this out creating panic and helping pharmaceutical companies to launch experimental drugs causing more deaths.
