Udupi, Aug 10: Karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai is scheduled to visit the district on August 12. A district-level meeting held to discuss the actions to be taken before and during his visit was presided over by the deputy commissioner at his office today.
The deputy commissioner directed the health department officials to prepare a report about the prevailing Covid situation for the meeting with the chief minister. He also asked the revenue department officials to prepare a report on the natural calamities in the district.
He directed the officials of district panchayat, departments of agriculture and horticulture to prepare all the details pertaining to their respective departments. He directed the officials to bring to the notice of the chief minister the issues pending in the district for several years.
Additional deputy commissioner Sadashiva Prabhu, Kundapur sub divisional officer Raju, district panchayat deputy secretary Kiran Padnekar, chief project officer Srinivas Rao and various district level officials were present.
