Apex Court Bench Declines to Hear Ayodhya Plea

New Delhi, Sep 22 (IANS) A Supreme Court bench Wednesday declined to hear a petition seeking to restrain the Allahabad High Court from pronouncing its verdict Sep 24 on a title suit related to the Ramjanambhoomi-Babri Masjid disputed structure at Ayodhya.

A bench of Justice Altamas Kabir and Justice A.K. Patnaik said that it had no jurisdiction to hear matters arising out of civil suits. Now the matter is likely to be posted before another bench. It may come up for hearing Thursday.
