Karnataka reports 1,826 fresh Covid cases, DK records single-day highest in state yet again

Bengaluru, Aug 11: Karnataka on Thursday, Aug 11 registered 1,826 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 22,851. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 377.

As many as 33 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Thursday, with Bengaluru Urban recording five deaths, the death toll in the state has risen to 36,881.

The state recorded 1,681 discharges from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total discharges to 28,63,117.

So far, Karnataka has seen 29,22,875 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 1.09% while the case fatality rate for the day is 1.80%.

As many as 3,37,36,075 people have received vaccination so far.
