With DK’s single-day highest of 475 infections, Karnataka reports 1,857 new Covid cases

Bengaluru, Aug 12: Karnataka on Thursday, August 12 registered 1,857 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 22,728. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 321.

As many as 30 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Thursday, with Bengaluru Urban recording 5 deaths, the death toll in the state has risen to 36,911.

The state recorded 1,950 discharges from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total discharges to 28,65,067.

So far, Karnataka has seen 29,24,732 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 1.15% while the case fatality rate for the day is 1.61%.

As many as 3,38,71,404 people have received vaccination so far.

    This is not a good news for DK. Today I visited a Uniform shop and found a tailor taking measurement without a Mask. Same shop sales people selling mask without wearing mask. People not following guidelines and putting public in Danger.

    Can you explain what’s the diameter of the pore of the mask and the diameter of the virus? How do you know that the virus won’t pass through a mask?
