Mangaluru, Aug 13: Deputy commissioner Dr Rajendra K V has permitted light vehicles to ply on Charmadi Ghat on Mangaluru-Villupuram national highway.
So far light vehicles like tempo traveller, van, car, jeep, ambulance, LCV and two wheelers were allowed to commute through this stretch from 6 am to 7 pm only.
KSRTC red buses, six wheeler trucks are not allowed to move during night.
Movement of bullet tanker, ship cargo container, long chassis vehicle, heavy commercial vehicles, multi-axle truck, trailer truck and KSRTC Rajahamsa are prohibited from using this route.
