Belthangady, Aug 16: Capuchin Krishik Seva Kendra (CKSK), Vimukthi Belthangady with the support of Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA) flagged off fourth year ‘Suvidhya Educational Interest Free Loan’ to help poor youth of Dakshina Kannada to pursue their education.
The disbursement programme was held on August 11, 2021 at CKSK premises.
The programme started with a prayer song followed by welcome by Poornima Monis.
The director of Capuchin Krishik Seva Kendra (CKSK) Fr Vinod Mascarenhas on the occasion he addressed the students and motivated the parents to provide quality education to their children and to make them self sustainable to earn their livelihood thus standing on their own feet shall make them responsible persons in the society. He also said to the parents that quality education which you are giving to them will bring all the success in their lives. He conveyed the motive behind providing the interest free loan to the students and said the same has to be repaid after their studies to support other needy students in the community. On the occasion the good work of the Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA) was praised for their vision and mission to facilitate the catholic youths in the diocese of Mangalore. He wished all the success to the students.
Fr Rohan Lobo, assistant director of CKSK facilitated the group in getting ready of the documentation and introduced the rules and regulations of the scheme. He also presented the work and history of the organisation to the group. CKSK staff Emmilda, Laveena and Merin helped the group in documentation.
