Kundapur, Aug 16: The Bengaluru-Karwar train which was partly suspended due to Covid, resumed service on August 16 with vistadome coach. It was welcomed at Kundapur railway station.
Konkan railway divisional officer B B Nikkam welcomed the train. Railway welfare committee president Ganesh Putran and other office bearers were present. A high mast light in front of the railway station was also inaugurated.
The train used to run thrice in a week. It will run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from Yeshwantpur again till Karwar from August 16. On the return journey It will run from Karwar to Yeshwantpur on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Union minister of agriculture and farmer’s welfare Shobha Karandlaje and other elected representatives had requested concerned officials to resume the train.
