Bangalore: Verdict in Pratibha Murder Case on Oct 6


Bangalore, Sep 27 (PTI): A local court today fixed October six for delivering its verdict on the case relating to the rape and murder of a BPO employee allegedly by a cab driver in the city five years ago. 

The accused Shiva Kumar was produced before the Fast Track Court judge B V Guddali, who said that the verdict would be pronounced on October six.

The cold blooded rape and murder of Pratibha Srikanthamurthy in December 2005 had sent shocks waves through the BPO industry in the country's IT capital, forcing many companies to re-examine their Human Resource Management rules as the accused cab driver was employed by a firm.

The deceased's mother Gowramma has been fighting a lone battle since her daughter's murder and has attended every court hearing, anxiously waiting for justice.So far, 80 witnesses have been examined in the case.
