Mangalore: Heavy Rains Hit Parts of Karnataka Coast

Mangalore, Sep 28: Places like Beltangady, Dharmasthala, Moodbidri, Mulky, Hebri, Ajekar, Karkala and other places received heavy rains coupled with thunder and lightning late afternoon on Monday September 27. Dark clouds had hampered visibility in the two districts since late afternoon, and in some places, the vehicles had to move with their headlights on. The city, Kundapur and other places received good rains at night.

Jayapura in Chikmagalur district received highest rain of seven cms. Other places in the coast received an average of three cms of rain. The meteorological department has warned of the possibility of heavy rains during the next two days in coastal Karnataka.
