Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Sep 29: Rains were scant during the day in Karnataka coast on Tuesday September 28. While sun shone brightly in most of the regions, a few places like Subrahmanya received short stints of light showers during the day.

On Tuesday night however, heavy rains coupled with thunder and lightning, which lasted for over two hours, came as a surprise for the people living in the coastal belt, which was experiencing dry weather but for occasional rainfall since the last some days. The intensity of thunder and lightning was quite high, and power supply got snapped in many regions in the coast. In many places, mud was seen to have been deposited on the road because of the rain.
