Bengaluru, Sep 1: Karnataka on Wednesday, Sep 1 registered 1,159 new coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 18,412. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 359.
As many as 21 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Wednesday, the death toll in the state has risen to 37,339.
The state recorded 1,112 discharges from hospitals on Wednesday, taking the total discharges to 28,94,827.
So far, Karnataka has seen 29,50,604 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.66% while the case fatality rate for the day is 1.81%.
As many as 4,31,83,795 people have received vaccination so far.
