Bantwal: Two sustain serious injuries after lorry rams into bike

Bantwal, Sep 2: Two youth travelling on a bike suffered serious injuries after a lorry rammed into their bike on the national highway at Talapady in BC Road here on Thursday September 2.

The injured are the residents of Ammemar in Farangipete. Their identity is yet to be ascertained.

It is learnt that they were travelling from Farangipete to BC Road when a tipper lorry collided against their two-wheeler.

The bike was totally damaged following the incident. Bantwal traffic police rushed to the spot.

Traffic jam prevailed for a few minutes following the accident.

    Looking at bikes, some bike designs also need to be changed... Our roads are for traveling. Not to display bike or vehicle skills. Youngsters are misled by these bike designs. Like TDS (Taxes Deducted at Source) designs should be curtailed from the manufacturing points itself.

    first let the govt build proper road infrastructure & fix all potholes, last but not least install speed governors for HCV like in UAE
