New Delhi, Oct 5: The educationist and Ryan International Group of education institutions managing director Grace Pinto was conferred on Excellence Award – 2010 by HelpAge India, here recently.
HelpAge India conferred the Award for Grace Pinto’s substantial and continuous support towards the cause of older persons over on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons celebrated here on October 1.
Prithvi Raj Chavan, union minister of state science and technology, T Ramaswamy, secretary of department of science and technology, M M Sabharwal, president Emeritus HelpAge India, Amal Ganguly, Y S Rajan were amongst other dignitaries present.
Grace Pinto is truly an educationist with a heart, her contribution in reaching out to help the poor, disadvantaged elderly has been tremendous. With her support in promoting the cause of the disadvantaged elderly, HelpAge India received generous donations through its value Education and School Fund Raising Programme. Her support has been comprehensive but also extends to facilitating much needed changes in the children’s perspective towards older people in the family and community at large. As a dedicated educationist, Grace Pinto takes on personal interest in creating not just professionally competent individual, but also socially responsible human beings.
The highlight of the programme was the usage of science and technology for the older persons and involving young generation to support them.
