Parents of Mysuru gangrape accused plead against killing their sons in encounters

Daijiworld Media Network - Mysuru (SP)

Mysuru, Sep 3: The parents of those accused of gang raping a girl at the foot of Chamundi Hill have pleaded with the police not to eliminate their children through encounters.

The police had visited the houses of the accused in Tamil Nadu to collect the clothes the accused wore on the day of the crime and the weapons they had used.

During these visits, the parents with folded hands and tears rolling down their cheeks, requested the police to spare the lives of their children.

The rumours that Karnataka police had decided to kill the gangrape accused through encounters has spread in Satyamangala, Erode, Talawadi and nearby areas to which the accused belong. Local media have given wide publicity to suggestions made by some Karnataka politicians to eliminate the accused through encounter.

The media have also been often discussing the possibility of the police choosing this route. This has given rise to a fear in the minds of the parents.

If encounter can stop further rape cases then we should have got the results long back. Sadly public memory is short on today's world. Afterfew days you will hear one more such news....First bring a workable law and punish them. Make them suffer.. Encounter is quick death but short suffering...

Dear Rajesh mulki. Law is there to punish the culprits but you tell me if you are a victim you will ask for preventing this kind of situation. Well it's not possible in any law. Only the fear can prevent this kind of act. Once upon a Mumbai had lot of gang wars in gali gali Once the police started encounter s it started to come down. Simple start doing encounter for every rape for 2 or 3 year. Even a eve teas or acid attack start taking down the culprits. Then these type of guy will have thier fear then they won't take this step It takes only few minutes for rape but that victim will suffer for a life. No one gave a right to anyone one to distroy life like this. Encounter is a solution

Encounter is extra-judicial killing-no denying. Our judiciary could not prevent this even after the Nirbhaya case. Years will pass and we will still be seeing this heinous act play in front of our eyes and the parents of this disgraceful wild crap cry. Nirbhaya case did not happen yesterday. These guys were still eating out of their mother's hand when Nirbhaya case happened. Encounter is desirable even if it is extra-judicial killing for one and only one reason. To send a message that if you cannot put it down and keep it under control behind the zipper, then you will never be able to raise it ever again, at least not in this world.

Police when under a lot of pressure have the tendency to frame innocent civilians to close the case! Extrajudicial killings are a crime; unless the accused are proven to have committed the crime, killing them in encounters is cold blooded murder!

Encounter is better option....... Best thing to do is ask, after a few weeks, opinion of victim and victim's parents if they are OK with encounter.....

DEAR ALL, PUNISHMENT SHOULD BE GIVEN TO THEM, SUCH THAT EVERY SHOULD BE AWARE OF THE CONSEQUENCES. THEY CANNOT BE SPARED AT ANY COST. NOW A DAYS RAPES ARE RISING DAY BY DAY, BUT FEW GETS PUNISHMENT, REST WILL NOT GET INTO TASK. OUR REQUEST TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT THAT, YOU ARE THE PROTECTOR AND YOU SHOULD MAKE SURE THAT, RAPE HAS TO BE STOPPED THROUGH OUT INDIA

parents will definitely feel for their children..secondly eliminating through encounter is not the proper way as India is a so called democracy..but there are chances that these guys might be eliminated as they belong to the poorer section of the society.. had they been the sons of ministers koi police mein dum nahin ke usko encounter kar den... Naked truth of our so called democracy.. I know now the chaddi gang will pounce on me..ha ha ha

These parents had no shame to raise such children, now quickly asking for mercy. They should be eliminated from the society without any hesitancy.

Ozy Surathkal, dear ,please understand these parents too.Of course every parent does the best to keep their child ,good educate ,be a educated person in Soceity, have good job.etc respects soceity and honoured.Once the child is grown up and goes out ,cant bind him to be at home ,cant let with a digital way to take steps as you want.He has to learn that self.when he goes the wrong way then u cant do anything.Only pray nothing happens to him .Would you also not do the same when he again didnt listen to you and did stupidity? Then he hasto bear it however it is sauer.or sweetParents heart will burn, and cry too.

Now let us also hear what the parents of the victims have to say. What is that upbringing these guys (who thought, they can go on a free run until police caught them) got from these very parents? They went to schools, they read newspapers I suppose and still decided to act like wild animals. Reign of terror from wild animals also is until it gets killed. Punishment is given so that it serves as a deterrent for potential future offenders. If encounter is not possible...let the parents offer an alternative. Naming and Shaming including chemical castration?
