Udupi, Sep 4: Due to the implementation of weekend curfew by the district administration, part of the city is wearing a deserted look.

Except for food outlets, grocery shops, fish and meat vendors, all other shops are closed.

City buses, service and express buses to Mangaluru and Kundapur are plying as usual. Essential goods shops are allowed to be kept open only till 2 pm.

Movement of public is usual as most of the activities are not prohibited by the district administration. The number of passengers is less.
