CM holds video conference with DCs of DK, Udupi & 3 districts on Covid

Bengaluru, Sep 4: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Saturday held a video conference with the Deputy Commissioners of the State’s border districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu, Hassan and Chamarajanagar and also with their district in-charge ministers on the Covid pandemic situation.

While getting details of testing and positivity rates as well as mortality, hospital admissions and vaccination status, the Chief Minister specially asked the coastal Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner to step up testing and vaccination in the urban areas and also in the border areas.

The Chief Minister asked the Deputy Commissioners and the district in-charge ministers of the five border districts to be very vigilant against the Covid outbreak.

All the five border district administrations were asked to increase the vaccination drive and step it up to 35% and more particularly take measures to ensure 100% vaccination in the areas within 20 kms from the neighbouring Kerala and Tamil Nadu borders.

Revenue Minister R Ashok, Home Minister Araga Jnanedra, Kannada and Culture Minister V Sunil Kumar, Backward Classes Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, Chief Secretary P Ravikumar, Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner Vandita Sharma, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Manjunath Prasad and other senior officials were present at the meeting.

CM meets Union Minister Bhagwant Khooba

The Chief Minister later met the Union Minister of State for Renewable Sources of Energy, Chemicals and Fertilisers Bhagwant Khooba and discussed various issues.

State’s Energy Minister V Sunil Kumar and other ministers B C Patil, Prabhu Chavan as well as Energy Department Additional Chief Secretary G Kumar Nayak, Agriculture Department Additional Chief Secretary Raj Kumar Khatri, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Manjunath Prasad and other senior officials were present during the discussion.

The Chief Minister earlier received public petitions near his residence.

    Why Vaccine push ? or why cases increasing in neighbouring state? to keep running local as well as global vaccine meters ? Also Elite and communist Vaccine mafia wants to bring deadly boosters but before that these first and second doses need to finish off otherwise loss of business for these. Strategy is some bio weapon virus leak (its power is gone long back.) But using that and for its cure bring emergency approved more virus spreading vaccines by testing namesake 50 to 100 volunteers. Which would bring out more strains to due different manufacturer. Finally bring out deadly boosters to decimate much of the population and blame it on first, second, third wave as happened or done during 'Socialist' 1918 spanish flu.

    Even I can take a decision to lockdown ..its very easy .. being the political leaders ,you have to find ways to see that every trader is compensated for the loss he is making due to the lockdown ..The MLA PM ,CM doctor all are getting their salaries .. The pain is for the poor normal trader

    The colonial era Pandemic Act of 1897 under which the unscientific mandates and restrictions are imposed provide compensation to those people who have suffered losses by filing cases in magistrates court. Only thing is politicians have hidden this provision. Time for all the traders and people to form an association and file multiple suits which will force the government to stop these dictatorial dictats.
