Belthangady, Sep 6: ICYM Belthangady unit organized 'Virtual Teacher's Day' celebration for all the teachers of Belthangady parish on September 5, 2021 at 10:30 am through google meet platform. ICYM members began the celebration by seeking God’s blessings through a prayer song.
Viyanni DSouza, the president of ICYM welcomed the gathering. Fr Clifford Pinto, the principal of English medium school depicted about the programme. Jovita, gave a brief introduction and introduced the resource person to the audience. Fr Alwyn Serrao, principal of St Antony’s College Naravi, the resource person of the day shared the responsibility and role of teachers. He also stressed about challenges of National Educational Policy.
Aloysius lobo, the vice president and Pauline Rego the secretory of parish pastoral council addressed the gathering and stressed on importance of Teacher’s Day. Wishing song and dance were presented by the youth. Lucky games were conducted for the teachers. On behalf of all the teachers, Theophila DSouza shared her views about the programme. Fr Joseph Cardoza, the parish priest delivered the presidential address. Larin, the secretory of ICYM delivered the vote of thanks. Glen Monis compered the programme.
60 teachers from the parish attended the celebration.
