Mangaluru: Guidelines issued for simple Ganeshotsava in district

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Sep 7: The district administration has barred Ganeshotsava being celebrated on a grand scale in the district.

A decision on the simple celebration of Ganeshotsava was taken at the Dakshina Kannada district disaster management authority meeting. This year too, the celebrations will be toned down and simple.

The administration has stressed that there is no provision to erect pandals and organize the celebrations in public places.

Instead of the usual five days, this time, Ganeshotsava will be limited to three days in the district. The festival can be organized only in temples, community halls and houses in a simple manner.

I don't think that all will follow the guidelines. Exceptions for some influential leaders. We see how many will disobey the guidelines. Who has obeyed the Covid19 guidelines yesterday when 3 Corporation elections results announced??? These guidelines for certain sections of people only, That what I believe.
