Mangaluru: Srinivas University celebrates International Physiotherapy Day

Mangaluru, Sep 8: College of Physiotherapy, Srinivas University celebrated the International Physiotherapy Day on September 8, with the theme 'Promoting Health and awareness through Physiotherapy' in the department of Physiotherapy, Srinivas Hospital, Mukka.

Dr David, medical superintendant welcomed the gathering and gave a talk on the importance of maintaining health and fitness. Dr Uday Kumar, medical dean addressed the gathering by delivering a speech on physiotherapy and its importance.

Dr S Rajasekar, dean, College of Physiotherapy addressed the gathering and delivered a talk on the inevitable role of Physiotherapy in enhancing the quality of life. Dr Ajay, registrar development blessed the event with his presence and conveyed greetings and wishes.

Chief guest of the event, pro chancellor, Dr Srinivas Rao, Srinivas University addressed the gathering and inaugurated the distribution of face masks and health-related pamphlets to Auto rickshaw Drivers who were the special invitees of this event for promoting health awareness in this pandemic. The event ended up with a vote of thanks by Dr Anitha (HOD, Dept of Gen Medicine) Mukka.

Events like quiz and poster collage were organised in the college premises exclusively for students with active participation from all batches and cash prize were awarded to winners of the competition.
