Patna, Sep 10 (IANS): The replacement of close aides of Union Minister R.C.P. Singh from their posts in the Janata Dal-United continued on Thursday with party President Lalan Singh removing Anil Kumar Singh and Chandan Singh.
Both of them were state General Secretaries.
Lalan Singh, after his appointment, has already removed more than six officials from key party posts, and all are said to be trusted men of R.C.P Singh.
He chairing an assessment meeting of different wings of the party where he removed these two party officials.
They were replaced by Navin Kumar Arya, and Mritunjay Kumar. Lalan Singh has also given key posts to Vasudev Kushwaha and Manish Kumar, seen as his close aides.
"We cannot tolerate anyone who are not performing well to strengthen the party on the ground," Lalan Singh said.
He also said that the party will dissolve the posts of the in charges of Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha constituencies.
"We will name two in charges in one district and they will work in tandem with district President to strengthen the organisation. Similarly, the the chief of different wings will work together with district President, block Presidents and village Panchayat representatives," he said.
