Beltangady: Cooperative CEO suffers heart attack, meets death when on duty

Beltangady, Sep 16: Chief executive officer of Syrian Catholic Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Joseph C (56), suffered a heart attack when on duty in his office on Wednesday September 15 and breathed his last.

Joseph was working in his office in the afternoon when he experienced chest pain. He was checked by the doctors of Spandana Polytechnic nearby and preliminary medicines were prescribed. He was taken to a private hospital at Ujire for advanced treatment, but the doctors found that he had already died.

Joseph had served for ten years as the manager of Jnananilaya pastoral centre of Beltangady diocese. Later, he had served as the chief executive officer of the Syrian Catholic Multipurpose Cooperative Society for the last 11 years. He is survived by wife and two sons.
