Mangaluru, Sep 21: Amidst doubts expressed all around about the effect of placements for Engineering, MCA and MBA students, during 2020-21, placement offers being given at SIT are pointing to a very encouraging placement season ahead. Companies make placement offers based on performance of candidates who had joined from the institute previous years. Infosys, TCS, Wipro, SAP, Cisco, Tech Mahindra, Mindtree, Hexaware, Cognizant, Amazon and so on. Apart from these, core companies like Si-Five Semiconductors, Vikram Solar, Ashok Leyland, Anglo Easter Ship Management, Robosoft, Sonata Software, Sakthi Auto, Maini Precision, Liugong India, Wind Care India etc. hire candidates in bulk numbers, because they had gauged our candidates, over longer periods of time and in real work situations.
SIT, Valachil has seen a surge in placement offers in 2020-21 with the offers surpassing previous placement records. Over 214 companies had given more than 609 offers, with CTC as high as 16 LPA have been made and average salary being 5.45 LPA. Majority of them are from core industries and are wide ranging, indicating a healthy trend. The final year students of 2021-22 are all geared up with full enthusiasm for the upcoming placement season at SIT, Valachil which has already started from August 31, 2021 via online mode owing to the Covid-19 restrictions.
The students of Srinivas Institute of Technology have recorded excellent results in the recently held final year (8th Sem) BE examinations conducted by Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum for the year 2021. 100 percent results in Information Science Engineering, 100 percent in Aeronautical Engineering, 100 percent in Marine, 100 percent Nano Technology, 98 percent in Computer Science and Engineering., 97 percen in Electronics, 96 percent in Mechanical, 95 percent in Electrical and Electronics, 94 percent Automobile, 96 percent in Architecture branches.
The College is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University Belagavi and recognized by All India Council for Technical Education and Council of Architecture, New Delhi. The college also accredited by NAAC.
