Hosapete, Sep 24: A youth who clicked a selfie in the company of a married woman had shared the same through social websites. The selfie went viral after which the woman hanged herself. This incident happened in Hagaribommanahalli taluk on Thursday September 23.

The lady who ended her life in this incident was Sheelamma alias Lalita (24), daughter of Rudrappa from Hire Sobati village in Hagaribommanahalli taluk. Goravappanavar Neelappa, a youth from Hire Sobati village, visited Sonna village on Wednesday. On this occasion, he had clicked a photo with the above lady in the agricultural field. He then sent this selfie through WhatsApp and other sites to various people including the lady's parental family members.

The father of the lady reportedly questioned her on this issue. Out of a sense of apprehension and a feeling of disgrace, the lady hanged herself, the police of Hagaribommanahalli station said.
