Udupi: Shobha Karandlaje partakes in 'Karseva' at Kadiyali temple

Udupi, Sep 25: Union minister of state for agriculture and farmers' welfare Shobha Karandlaje on Friday September 24 took part in 'Karseva' at Kadiyali Sri Mahishamardhini Temple here.

As part of the renovation work of 'Suthu Pouli' of Kadiyali temple, Shobha performed 'Karseva' by holding hoe and rubber basket. Bjp party workers joined hands in this work.

The temple dedicated to Goddess Durga, with a history of over 1,200 years, is eponymous with the slaying of Mahishasura by Maa Durga.

Shobha Karandlaje speaking to media persons, said, "I am very pleased to be involved in the work of the Goddess. Many temples have been built and renovated by Karseva volunteers and villagers in the country. I wish the work on Suthu Pauli of the temple gets completed at the earliest. I am happy to see participation of so many people irrespective of age, they are true inspiration."

Raghavendra Kini, Udupi, general secretary, renovation committee of Kadiyali temple, Girish Anchan, president, city municipality standing committee, councillors Rajani Hebbar, Mohan Upadhyay, Shilpa Raghupathi Bhat, Veena Shetty, Geethanjali Suvarna, Bharathi Chandrashekhar, members of management committee of the temple, temple renovation committee, priests and working staff, villagers and volunteers were present.
