Aurangabad, Oct 20 (PTI): Senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu said that Congress was responsible for the backwardness in Indian villages.
"Gandhiji had said that 'Ramrajya' is incomplete without 'Gramrajya'. Even after 60 years of independence, villages in the country are under-developed due to the Congress rule," Naidu said at function in Ladsawangi village here.
"Though in power, Congress leaders are asking people to give one more chance. Congress did not solve the problems of electricity, roads and drinking water in last 50 years, which we (BJP) solved in just five years," he added.
Naidu further blamed the Congress for low literacy rate in the country.
He said Congress was giving colour to terrorism, while BJP believes that terrorism has no colour.
Unlike the Congress, BJP believes in taking everybody forward.
Naidu said that the BJP will demand a probe in the alleged corruption in the Commonwealth Games.
