Beltangady: Truck breaches ban, moves on Charmadi ghat road, gets stuck

Beltangady, Oct 1: A huge truck which tried to move on Charmadi Ghat section of the highway on Thursday September 30 got stuck at a road bend. This incident obstructed vehicular movement.

Charmadi Ghat road has been off limits for huge vehicles. Still, the said 10-wheeler truck went ahead but got stuck as it was unable to negotiate the second road bend on the ghat. The truck created a traffic block for about an hour. Vehicle riders and passengers faced undue hardships as a result. The drivers of other vehicles joined hands and succeeded in moving the truck and clearing the traffic block after an effort lasting an hour.
