Udupi: Prizes awarded to ‘Gokulakrishna, ‘Radhakrishna’ photo contest winners

Udupi, Oct 1: The prize distribution ceremony of ‘Gokulakrishna’ and ‘Radhakrishna’, photography competition was held at Daijiworld media Udupi branch, Mandavi Trade Center Kadiyali, here on Thursday September 30.

The competition was organized in two categories, Gokula-Krishna for below 3 years’ old and Radha-Krishna for kids aged between 3 and 6.

The contest was organized on the occasion Sri Krishna Janmashtami by Daijiworld Udupi and Kishoo Enterprises for the fourth consecutive year.

Vijayraj Katapady, well known astrologer and vastu expert, Nataraj Parkala, renowned spiritual orator and Kevin Rodrigues, manager of Daijiworld Udupi handed over the prizes to the winners.

The guest of honor Vijayraj Katapady congratulated all the prize winners and wished the children greater success in the near future.

Natraj Parkala addressing the gathering said, “Parents should teach culture (samskara) to their children, along with imparting quality education. Do not teach the children to make money. Instead, teach them how to respect and show care for elders. Only then, they can grow as good citizens. Apart from education, children should also take part in co-curriculum activities as well. That will help them to enhance their personality.

Winner of Gokulakrishna competition Bhavin Ganiga, son of Swathi S and Chethan Ratnakar from Udupi was awarded with cash prize Rs 3,000 along with trophy and certificate.

Meanwhile, Hiranmayee Bhat, daughter of Sudhir Bhat and Prajwali S Bhat; and Anvay R Shettigar, son of Ravikiran and Geetha from Udyavar secured second and third place respectively were awarded with cash prize of Rs 2,000 and Rs 1,000 along with trophies and certificates.

Winner of Radhakrishna competiton, Manyu Vyasaraja Bhat, son of Vyasaraja Tantry and Vidya Tantry; and Aishwarya, daughter of Rama Naik and Sharavathi from Udupi, were awarded with cash prize Rs 3,000 with trophies and certificates.

Krithi N Nayak, daughter of Nagesh Nayak and Raksha, Udupi; and Akanksha, daughter of Rajesh Nayak and Vilasini Nayak from Brahmavar, bagged the second place, were awarded with cash prize of Rs 2,000, certificates and trophies.

Tansh, son of Ganesh and Akshatha Mendon, Sastan; and Charishma, daughter of Raju Devadiga and Deepa, who bagged the third place, were awarded with cash prize Rs 1,000, trophies and certificates.

Trophies and certificates were given to the ‘judges’ choice’ and consolation prize winners.

Staffs of Daijiworld Udupi branch were present.

Pragathi Puthran compered the programme.
