Udupi, Oct 6: “The government will establish 6th Rangayana known as 'Yaksha Rangayana' at a cost of Rs 1 crore in Karkala. In the state, there are 5 Ranganayas working actively. Establishing a Rangayana in the coastal region including Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district is a long pending demand. Thus, there was dream to establish Rangayana in Karkala and to train youth in Yakshagana, dance and drama. Hence, the government has given the nod to start the sixth Rangayana in Karkala. Development will be made after obtaining two areas of land at the Koti-Chennayya theme park. After establishing the school and training center, cultural activities will be taught,” said Energy, Kannada and Culture minister V Sunil Kumar.
He was speaking after offering 'Bagina' in Krishnangaraka Snana Ghatta Shimbra near Shri Siddivinayaka Temple, Perampalli. MLA Raghupati Bhat and his wife, and minister Sunil Kumar and his wife offered Bagina in Swarna river.
Speaking on HD Kumaraswamy's claim that RSS workers are recruited as civil servants, Sunil Kumar said, "As he said, it is not only 4,000 civil servants, there are more. RSS is working towards individual's personality development. Through personality development, it is building nation building. RSS has created several personalities like us.RSS workers are not only in civil services but also in various other fields. From PDO to President of India, all have been trained under the RSS. Those who are in favour of nation building will welcome this and those not in favour, will oppose. RSS will not stop its work over Kumaraswamy's statement.”
Speaking on Siddaramaiah being invited to national politics, Sunil Kumar said, "It is their internal matter. He has lost the people's opinion. He lost election in one constituency and won in another constituency with great difficulty. Further, Congress lost all by- elections. He has no identity in Mysuru. He should decide what type of politics he should do. People have already rejected him."
He also said that the BJP will win the election in Hanagal-Sindagi under the leadership of chief minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking on the state government's administration, Sunil Kumar said, “Our government understand the sentiments of Hindus. The government will take decision on the issue of Datta Peeta, so that the sentiments of Hindus never hurt. After decades of struggle, we received justice in the court. The law minister, revenue minister and muzrai minister have constituted a committee and a decision has been taken to issue a circular. Without any delay, court order will be implemented."
Town municipal council president Sumitra Nayak, vice-president Lakshmi Manjunath, deputy commissioner (DC) Kurma Rao, SP Vishnuvardhan, additional DC Sadhashiva Prabhu TMC commissioner Uday Shetty and others were present.
