Kundapur, Oct 11: Koppa KPCC media spokesperson Sudhir Kumar Muroli said that BJP has attained power by getting the votes of Hindus on the basis of Hindutva.
Muroli was speaking at the mammoth torch rally and gathering that was organized on Sunday, October organized by Kota Block Congress condemning demolition of Hindu religious center, anti-Hindu policy of BJP and inflation.
Muroli further said, “BJP is a party which uses Hindu activists, gets them killed after sometime and celebrates. Wherever the murders take place, BJP leaders will be behind the act. Then with what moral right you seek Hindu votes? Instead of killing Hindus by using Hindu organizations, develop the mental attitude of safe guarding their interests.
“You people say that you are pro-farmer government and conduct atrocities on them. You run the vehicles over them. Why you are torturing the farmers? Where you have provided a convenient environment? You can never give an environment conducive for expressing the agony of farmers. People are sick of price rise. The former Congress administration always ruled as per the difficulties of the common man.
“You people have made many Hindu families like Sharat Madiwala, Paresh Mesta and Praveen Poojary to come on the streets. You could not provide them any facilities. Is this the politics you people are playing?
“You people say that you follow ideals of Lord Rama. However, your attitude is that of Rakshashas. Only Congress follows the ideals of Ram. Politics of Congress is based on secularism. We never indulge in caste politics. People have understood your mentality of temple demolition. If you continue your politics on temples, churches and mosques, we will not give any answers. The public will answer you.”
Muroli also explained in detail the style of functioning and duel politics of BJP leaders like MLA Halady Srinivas Shetty, minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, MP Shobha Karandlaje and Nalin Kumar Kateel.
The torch march was flagged off by former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake. Huge procession was held from Block Congress office to Saligrama bus stand.
The programme was presided over by Kota Block Congress president Shankar Kundar. Kundapur block Congress president Hariprasad Shetty Kanmakki was the chief guest.
Secretary Vikas Hegde Kolkebail, former president Malyady Shivarama Shetty, Udupi district Congress president Deepak Kotian, chief secretary Nataraj Holla, Dinesh Bangera of Kota block, Ganesh Nellibettu, Ravindra Kamath, Srinivasa Amin, Roshini Valavera, Moses Rodrigues and others were present.
