Mangaluru, Oct 11: On the occasion of Nativity ICYM Episcopal City Deanery organized 'Magnificat 2021' an online Marian hymn competition for the children and youth of the deanery. The competition was held from August 25 to September 6, 2021.

The competition was held in three categories - 4 to 10 years, 11 to 16 years and 17 - 28 years.

Participants sent their singing video to ICYM ECD president Sanjay D'Souza. More than 125 contestants participated in this competition.

The competition was judged by Rony Crasta, Sonal, Velita Lobo. Criteria for judging was pitching and rhythm, quality of voice, clarity of words, expression, presentation and background related to feast.

The winners of the competition are:
4 to 10 category
First Place - Simona D'Sa, Milagres
Second Place - Nathan Figueroa, Jeppu

10 to 16 category
First Place - Aldreena Rodrigues, Bendur
Second Place - Alyson D'Silva, Bejai

16 to 28 category
First Place - Eldreena Ferrao, Milagres
Second Place Cherlyn D'Souza, Jeppu
