Mangaluru, Oct 11: A Pastoral Commission training programme was held for the Omzoor and Pavoor Uliya commission members on October 10, 2021 at 9.00 am at Holy Family Sabha Bhavan, Omzoor.
The programme commenced with a prayer service led by Fr Alwyn Dcunha - parish priest , Holy Family church, Omzoor who also welcomed the guests and the gathering.
Fr Joseph Martis - coordinator of the Pastoral Plan diocese of Mangalore, Fr Alwyn Dcunha - parish priest, Holy Family church Omzoor, Fr Jerald Lobo - parish priest, Infant Jesus church Pavoor Uliya, Patrick Pinto - vice president and Philomena Monteiro - secretary of parish pastoral council Omzoor were the dignitaries of the programme.
Fr Alwyn Dcunha introduced Fr Joseph Martis who was the resource person for the day. Fr Joseph Martis briefed the importance of all the 21 commissions. He explained the responsibilities and duties of each commissions and how parish associations can contribute towards the progress of people and also in building up the church. Thereafter he conducted an interactive session where many expressed their thoughts and ideas towards the development of the church and the society.
Parish Pastoral Council cice presidents of Omzoor and Pavoor Uliya expressed their views on this mission. Arthur Dsouza was elected unanimously as the coordinator of all commissions of Omzoor.
Patrick Pinto proposed vote of thanks. Philomena Monteiro compered the training programme. A total 180 members were present for this training.
