Bengaluru: BJP leader questions Congress silence over rape, atrocities in Rajasthan

Bengaluru, Oct 13: State BJP SC Morcha president Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, accused the Congress of indulging in a behaviour that is specific to chameleons. He was addressing a press conference in the BJP state office here on Tuesday October 12.

"Congress showers its love on the Dalits and farmers only when it senses that it can capitalise on such issues and reap political benefits. It does not speak about atrocities on poor classes in states ruled by it. They seal their lips when the issue of states ruled by them is raised," he criticized.

"Rajasthan has witnessed rapes and injustice against the Dalits on a large scale. Still, the Congressmen, who hold protest in Uttar Pradesh do not speak about Rajasthan. In West Bengal, Dalits and women faced atrocities just because they supported the BJP. But the Congress leaders who support Mamata Banerjee, have not condemned her. Even Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka have not tweeted about these things," he pointed out.

MP Dr Umesh Jadhav, MLA Rajkumar, Patil Telkur, and state media convener Karunkar Khasle were present.
