Dammam: 'India Fraternity Forum' hosts webinar on Academic Excellence Award-2021

Dammam, Oct 14: India Fraternity Forum conducted a webinar with the caption ‘Academic Excellence Award 2021’ in Dammam. The programme aimed at celebration of the successes of the students who obtained note-worthy results in the academic year 2020-2021 from across all the schools of eastern province those are offering CBSE stream courses. The webinar was well attended by Indian Embassy official, various school principals, prominent Indians in the business and service sectors, students and other community members. The webinar was inaugurated by Asim Anwar (IFS) the second secretary (Economic, Commercial, and School Observer) embassy of India in Riyadh – KSA. Two videos were presented in the webinar, one about the activities of the forum and the other about the preceding activities of the award ceremony like visiting various schools by IFF volunteers, meeting the students & handing over the mementos to them, recording statements of principals and topper students and so on.

Prominent community members as well as the school principals spoke in the occasion. All the speakers boosted the moral of the students in their speeches and lauded the forum's initiative to arrange such an event for the students in this Covid-19 era. The dignitaries who spoke in the occasion are Mahenza Farid principal - IIS Dammam, Dr Naushad Ali principal - IIS Jubail, Mammoo Master KP principal - Al Muna IS Dammam, Sumyya Mohamed Arif principal - Dunes IS Khobar, Dr Irfan Hamed Khan (Telangana) head of department Anesthesia, Al Mana Hospital Jubail, IIS Jubail Managing Committee Chairman), Dr Fayaz Ahmed (Karnataka) Cardiac Surgeon, King Fahad University Hospital, Al Khobar, SajidAraattupuzha (Kerala) president - Dammam Media Forum and Gulf Madhyamam Dammam Bureau Chief, Eng Mohamed Abdul Waris (Hyderabad) project manager KFUPM and Former chairman of managing committee IIS Dammam, RehanAlam Siddique (UP) CEO, RAS Ambition Company Ltd Jubail, Abdul Rouf PV (Kerala) Staff Training Specialist, Farabi Petrochemicals and Managing committee member IIS Jubail and topper students Aarav Kamat (Goa), Uzma Khan (UP) both from IIS Dammam, Firdouse Fathima (Odissa) from IIS Jubail, Ashish Shibu (Kerala) Al Muna IS Dammam, Sandeep Srinivasan (Tamilnadu) Al Khozama IS Dammam, Saqib Mohammed (Telengana) DUNES IS Khobar also participated in the programme.

While addressing the students Asim Anwar, the second secretary of Indian Embassy advised them not to lose heart even though the final board examinations were not held due to Covid-19. He said that the performance of the students was rated on the basis of their overall performance throughout the year. He emphasized the fact that New Education Policy will evaluate students’ performance in the same way in coming future it is a better way to judge.

Abdul Salam, secretary of India Fraternity Forum, Eastern Province highlighted that as a community organization the Forum conducted the event, which is actually the ultimate event of a series of activities, keeping the interests of Students in mind who are the future nation builders, and now the community members should judge & advice IFF for future endeavors. The webinar wad concluded by Meraj Ahmed, forum’s executive member. Altogether around 300+ attendees enjoyed the webinar. The entire programme was hosted by Ashiq Machar, a Fraternity Executive from its Karnataka chapter.

It is to be noted that, India Fraternity Forum (IFF) is a well-known social Indian organization in the kingdom that carries out its various activities with the help of Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia. IFF is always keen to provide platform for enhancement of expatriates living in KSA for their social & spiritual aspect through various programs and webinars.
