Qatar, Oct 14: As part of celebrating India at 75, Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and 152nd birth anniversary, father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi, ICC MC conceived, planned, and executed 'Vande Bharat' events for nine days starting from October 1, beach cleaning in North of Qatar along with ICC Youth wing.
Everyday programmes were actively participated by various teams. On Gandhi Jayanthi, Quiz Competition finals, the inauguration of VAFI Gandhiji painting exhibition, a cultural show 'Bharat Darshan' by Barwah City Monday Activity Group was the combination of events for the day.
Along with Doha Municipal authorities, ICC YW and MES senior Students did the tree plantation at Old AirPort park, in the evening 'Vande Mataram' cultural event by Samanvayam with fantastic dances and a skit captivated the audience.
A Malhar Musical night along with food stalls managed by ICC YW and team was one of the unique events to engage young Indians. 'Bharat Bhagya Vidhata' patriotic songs and dances performances by Bangiya Parishad Qatar was a well-choreographed event. 'Bharat Ke Rang, IWA Ke Sang', dance forms, from states of India from north to south and east to west by Indian Woman Association was well directed, excellent costume designs to suit to traditions.
Qatar Tamila Sangam celebrated the Mahakavi Bharatiyar centenary with a skit, songs, and dances were presented with differences. 'Batukamma' by Telangana Jagruthi, a floral festival celebration with regional folk songs and dances was well attended, an all-women event was overwhelmingly successful. On a concluding day, 'Navaratri Celebration' mesmerizing classical dances and songs by Maestro Arts spellbound the audience. Flawless and scintillating performances were treated to the eyes. Kudos to the Maestro team for bringing together talents in one event.
After one and a half years of lockdown and Covid-19 restriction, ICC with support from the Embassy of India decided to create a platform for the Indian community to come out, participate and enjoy under given protocol and restrictions. ICC wishes to say a big thanks to the Indian community, ICC Associated organization’s for their wholehearted support for the events.
