Chitradurga, Oct 15: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president, D K Shivakumar, said that the bypolls for Sindagi and Hangal constituencies have given an opportunity for the people to settle their grudge and displeasure at the BJP government.
He was speaking to media persons on Thursday October 14.
"Young population, farmers and merchants have suffered injustice under the BJP rule. The people have become disillusioned at the anti-people politics of the BJP. Prices of essentials, petrol and diesel, have spiralled. Even after the new chief minister took over, there has been no change," he stated. He also expressed the confidence that the Congress will win both the seats.
Commenting on the remark made by transport minister B Sriramulu, that Siddaramaiah is not interested in the bypoll victory, Shivakumar said that there are some who speak at will as if they have lost their brains.
When the media persons asked him about the internal squabbles within his party, Shivakumar chose not to react and left.
