Flu vaccination started for Abu Dhabi residents

Abu Dhabi, Oct 17: Ministry of Health and Prevention, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi and the Abu Dhabi Centre for Public Health has launched ‘Immunize Yourself, Protect Your Community’ campaign under which Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) has started providing the influenza (flu) vaccine to residents in Abu Dhabi.

According to Gulf News, those wishing to receive the vaccination can call the SEHA call centre 80050 or through the SEHA App to schedule an appointment, either at one of its health centres, or through SEHA COVID-19 Drive-Through Services Centres.

The flu vaccine is available free of cost for adults above 50 years old, children under five years of age, students from 5-18 years of age, people of determination, pregnant women, Thiqa card holders, Hajj and Umrah performers, those with body mass index of 40 and above, chronic disease patients who suffer from diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic liver disease, kidney failure, or chronic lung disease including Asthma.
