Doha, Oct 31:
The most happening sporting event for expat ladies in Qatar, the ladies throwball tournament, was conducted in Qatar on 28th and 29th of October 2010. I agree with Marina. I really appreciate 'Konkan stars' participation this year though they were short of players and were doubtful of taking part till the last minute. Losing & winning is part of the game & one need to understand that fundamental sportsman spirit. Everyone plays with the intention of winning!
Best wishes for the next tournament! 'Konkan Stars' team's presence makes a lot of difference! They are the real shining stars!

CONGRATULATIONS to the winners Tulu Koota and the runners up MCC team. You really displayed a wonderful team work and a splendid Game.
Previous champions Konkan Stars performance was not up to the mark this time but it is all in the game. Even though with less practice you decided to play with the game spirit is really appreciated. Without your team there wouldn’t have been any tournament as there were only 4 teams. Keep up this spirit.
An experienced team manager is not going to change your playing. Just play your game. Managers have come n gone and that did not make any difference in your playing. We will wait for more exciting and interesting game from you next year.

Congratulations to Tulu Koota Qatar for winning the prestigious MCC Throwball tournament for the 4th time. You all played a marvelous throwball. No doubt Angela was the player to watch, but Vijaya was the player of the tournament being the part of the winning team.
As always very well organised tournament by MCC. MCC President, office bearers and all the volunteers deserves special appreciation. Sports lovers of Qatar, specially the Mangalore community thoroughly enjoyed two days of breathtaking performance by the women folk.

Hope the commentators specially Joyce has taken Pepper Kashaya as suggested to keep the voice in tact for next year. Good job by Joyce and team.
Nice coverage of the event by Daijiworld.

Congratulations to the winners (Tulu Koota) and Runners Up (MCC) for the wonderful display and winning the Trophies. Few suggestions to note for MCC The ORGANIZERS while the Tournament is organized for fun and bring out the sporting talents the age bar should not be imposed and also the Visa status. It should be open to all who are able to play and participate. The other factor what I noticed is that the Throw ball played here in Qatar is not in line with International Throw Ball federation rules such as the net height (6ft.) and also the court size which looks much smaller compared to 40x30ft as per standard. Anyway it is upto the organizers to choose the better part.. I enjoyed the event

    Congrats to Tulukoota the champions
who had played well with a team
    spirit.Runners up MCC too played
well. But its very sad thing that
    the earlier champions Konkan Stars
lost as they didnt have proper co-
ordination. Its better that they have an experienced Team Manager and new Captain to lead the team in the coming years.MCC deserves a big thank you for organising such a
    wonderful event.

Clinical performance by ladies of tulukoota. They played together as a TEAM. There were consistent performers in Tulukoota team compared to occassional brilliance from few players from other team. Congratulations to the entire Tulukoota team lead by its dynamic captain Shobha Shetty.

Congratulations to MCC for organising this tournament for 9th year in a row.
