Karwar: Boy catching fish in Dandeli attacked, dragged away by crocodile

Karwar, Oct 25: A boy who was catching fish by sitting on the bank of River Kali was attacked by a crocodile which dragged him away. This incident happened at Vinayaka Nagar on Haliyala road in the town on Sunday October 24.

Mohin (15), son of Mehmood Ali Miya Gulbarga residing in the Allied Area fell victim to the killer crocodile at around 4.30 pm, the locals said. Immediately after they came to know of the incident, police personnel and forest officials launched a search for the boy with the help of two rafts.

Rafting experts from the Jungle Lodges and Ganesh Gudi are also searching and so far there is no information about any success in the search operation.
