M'luru: St Aloysius College alumni association holds 31st annual general body meeting

Mangaluru, Oct 25: The 31st annual general body meeting (AGM) of St Aloysius College Alumni Association (SACAA) was held on October 22 at St Aloysius College auditorium, St Aloysius College, Mangaluru. Fr Melwin Pinto SJ, rector of St Aloysius Institution, Dr Praveen Martis SJ, principal of St Aloysius College, J S Stephen Pinto, president of SACAA along with other office bearers and SACAA members were present at the AGM.

In his welcome address, J S Stephen Pinto welcomed the gathering and spoke about his future plans for the association. He also stated that the association has come a long way and helped many people during Covid.

The minutes of the AGM held on November 13, 2020 was read by the Secretary, Naveen Mascarenhas. He also presented the annual report of SACAA for the period 2020-2021.

During the meeting, the annual audited statement of accounts was placed before the house by the treasurer, Dr Richard Gonsalves. SACAA director Dr Praveen Martis appreciated the good work done by the association and also congratulated the president for a good job. He also appreciated the involvement of youngsters in the association.

SACAA patron Fr Melwin Pinto gave his message and complimented the senior members of SACAA committee for their hard work over the years. He congratulated them for their efforts. He also congratulated the golden batch 1971 who have contributed a lot for the institution.

The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Vaishali. Forty members attended the meeting.
