Mangaluru: Mobile shop operator rapes girl under duress, complaint filed

Mangaluru, Oct 27: A girl who claimed herself to be a victim of rape, visited Surathkal police station on Monday October 25 and filed a complaint.

The girl said that she had visited the mobile shop run by the accused for acquiring mobile phone and SIM card. Using this opportunity, the man reportedly contacted the girl on phone, duly hiding his real identity.

He acted like having fallen in love with the girl, and raped her in August 2021 in a lodge. The girl also claimed that she was threatened not to reveal this fact to others.

Accused Munna alias Ibrahim, a resident of Kinnigoli, has been arrested. Investigation is on.

unfortunately very few accept that there is some thing called "paid sex".. like any other business it has supplier, client and middlemen / facilitator and a supply chain.... client goes to the facilitator (lodge) with the supplier... when things go wrong, boy has to say girlfriend, the lady has to say boyfriend, fake love etc. etc... from airport to suratkal road, i stayed in a hotel some time back...i booked in hotel booking site... total misrepresentation in the site... it is a lodge not a hotel... the so called hotel did not have food arrangement, i had to sleep on empty stomach... all staff in the hotel spoke broken kannada with heavy malloo accent... ಇದೆಲ್ಲ ವಿಚಿತ್ರ ಆದರೂ ಕಟು ಸತ್ಯ....
