Mass singing of songs celebrating unification of Karnataka highly successful in Mangaluru, Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 28: As part of Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations, the state government had issued instruction to sing Kannada patriotic songs collectively.

Accordingly, collective singing of Kannada songs as advised by the government was arranged at 11 am at the Tannirbhavi beach on Thursday October 28. Hundreds of students from various schools came to the venue and sang Kannada songs spiritedly. The programme was held to celebrate Kannada language and culture as per the initiative undertaken by Kannada and culture department of the state government.

‘Barisu Kannada Dindimava’, ‘Jogada Siri Belakinalli’ and ‘Huttidare Kannada Nadalli Huttabeku’, songs that proclaim the greatness of Kannada language were sung.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner Dr Rajendra K V, zilla panchayat chief executive officer Dr Kumar, district president of Kannada Sahitya Parishad Pradeep Kumar Kalkura and others were present.

Meanwhile, the songs were sung in front of Sri Krishna Math, Malpe Sea Walk, Kaup Light house, Padubidri Blue Flag beach, in front of Kollur temple, Gommata hill of Karkala, all schools and colleges, industries, medical and engineering colleges, regional offices of all nationalised banks of the district and all government offices in Udupi.

    Jokleg picnic that is the best part....some day in their life they will remember the this different fun day . Coming to point saving Kannada by doing this....i dont think so...! Its a Mafai education system . If some thing to be done as as cure then erase 30 years from everyone's life and restart it erasing prominence of ENGLESH!! . Can some one do that!! what say samskrithi ilake...can you ?? shame on us we all collectively weaken Kannada the gem language.

    what is the use of singing songs? what your govt is doing? dividing the state on lines of religion..utter hatred towards minorities....correct that first..then sing...otherwise this will just be a show off and some money to the concerned depts in the name of organizing such an event...moreover this minister himself carries allegation of stealing govt cement..thuu..
