Former tennis star Leander Paes, actor Nafisa Ali join Trinamool Congress ahead of Goa elections

Daijiworld Media Network – New Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 29: Former tennis star Leander Paes and actress Nafisa Ali have joined the Trinamool Congress just before the 2022 Goa Assembly election. Earlier, activist Mrinalini Deshprabhu also had joined the party.

Trinamool Congress party chief and Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee welcomed all the three new joiners.

The party led by Mamata Banerjee is projecting itself as a strong contender against the ruling BJP in the state. Party sources said that Banerjee will meet intellectuals, thinkers, professionals, and others in Goa.

At present, Goa Assembly has a strength of 40 members out of which BJP currently has 17 legislators and enjoys the support of legislators from Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP), and other regional parties. Congress has 15 MLAs in the house.

Dear Sri Almeida from Andheri, Cannot agree more on your take. But, still cannot laugh at how TMC is making its way to Goa. Which leftist party or agenda TMC is fighting in Goa? Russians and Israelis better get adjusted to illegal Bangladeshi s and Rohingyas who will compete for logistic services overtly in Goa. What is the Aryan connection to Kolkata night riders and TMC's pan-India ambitions? Thank God, Khan has finally got bail and he can get back to what he does best....powder rich pranayama...:-)

I prefer Congress any day/time as compare to TMC. She will break the nation if she is given the power. See what happened to west bengal, one of the prosperous state once, today the least performer.

Readers, extremely distressing to observe TMC led by Mamta and AAP by Kejriwal, who are apparently allies with the INC, are virtually preying on the grand old party, in Goa.. The induction Leander Pais, a goan into TMC, is an indication of Mamta to sink the INC aspirations in the holiday state of India !! The BJP is utterly delighted at the prospects of bouncing back to power with an easy victory !!!!
