Beltangady: Lady complains of husband's second marriage

Beltangady, Oct 30: A lady has filed a complaint against her husband, accusing him of marrying for a second time even though his first wife is alive. She also accused him of inflicting mental and physical harassment to her.

Deeksha from Karimanelu village has filed the complaint against her husband Chetan, who is an auto rickshaw driver and the lady Nalini.

"My husband married me as per Hindu customs and traditions, and we have a four-year-old son. After my delivery, I returned to my husband's residence at Melatabettu village where I lived with him.

“My husband used to mentally and physically torture me by raising silly issues. Unable to bear his methods, I returned to my parental home seven months back. During this period my husband married a lady again in Kutrottu temple,” Deeksha said in the complaint addressed to the station house officer, Beltangady police station.
