Mumbai: Former city police commissioner slipped off to Belgium – Sanjay Nirupam

Mumbai, Nov 1: Nirupam Sanjay, former Mumbai Congress chief tweeted on Saturday that the former city police commissioner of Mumbai Param Bir Singh is in Belgium. He also questioned who provided him safe passage from India.

In his tweet Nirupam said that the former city police commissioner is an accused in an extortion case. In addition he is involved in five other cases. According to the police he is absconding. Now he is found in Belgium. Is it not possible to bring him back to Mumbai by sending undercover officers?

“Param Bir Singh accused the present government of extortion to the tune of Rs 100 crore. However, later it was found that he himself is involved in a huge racket of extortion. Mumbai police said that he is absconding. He was in Chandigarh for six months. Union government is saying that the borders of the country are safe. Then how come singh is found in Belgium?” question Nirupam in his tweet.

Sanjay accused that Singh was allowed to go out of India and he reached Europe through Nepal.
