Bengaluru, Nov 1: The State Government is making concerted efforts for developing the Kannada language in all border districts, Health and Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar said on Monday.

Addressing the Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations organized by the Chikkaballapur district, he said all out efforts will be made for the rapid industrialization of the district.

Efforts were necessary for developing Kannada in border districts such as Kolar, Chikkaballapur and in other parts of the State, Dr Sudhakar said people should also learn other languages while giving priority for the development of the official language of Karnataka. It is necessary that the younger generation must develop the habit of reading and acquire knowledge.

Dr Sudhakar said 4,000 acres of land in Chikkaballapur district will developed for industrialization.

The Health Minister said the people need not be unduly worried about doing physical exercises following the death of Kannada cinema actor Puneeth Rajkumar. There is nothing wrong in yoga and sports or physical exercises. However, studies are being done to check why health complications, especially heart-related problems occur in some people. But those with hereditary problems or heart conditions need to be careful, he said.

The Minister Gyms and Yoga centres need CPR facilities and other emergency treatment facilities. Guidelines are being prepared to cover all this aspects.

Pointing out that he himself has been going to gym for exercises since the last 20 years, he said the exercises must be done according to age and health conditions.

roti kapda aur makaan are the basic needs of human beings...language is used only for communication..it does not matter which language we speak..the khadi, khaki and khavi should work towards providing food, shelter and clothing to human beings...as Salman Khan, the great king of Bollywoood, the most humane person says...BEING HUMAN...so be human first...eradicate manuvada..then speak about kannada language..who bothers..
