Despite Pak denying air space, Srinagar-Sharjah flight won't stop: BJP

Srinagar, Nov 5 (IANS): Denial of air space by Pakistan won't affect direct flights between Srinagar and Sharjah, J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina said on Friday.

Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Raina said flights will continue between Srinagar and Sharjah, the only difference will be that they will take a longer route.

"Some days ago Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Srinagar and inaugurated direct flight between Srinagar and Sharjah, but it is extremely disappointing that Pakistan has closed its airspace proving it is the biggest enemy of people of Kashmir," Raina said.

"Flight operations will continue. Flights will not use Pakistan's airspace but take a longer route - from Srinagar to Delhi, Delhi to Mumbai and Mumbai to Sharjah. But Pakistan's actions and intentions have become clear before the world."

Pakistan has not allowed the use of its airspace for the Srinagar-Sharjah direct flight inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on October 23.

    Nothing extraordinary. Nothing heroic. Nothing historic. All countries find some other alternate routes if one country has objection. Congress has done million times during its tenure and we did not even know about it because congress never blew its trumpet on every little silly issues and congress had bigger issues relating to actual development of the country to present before people.

    The same congress couldn't abolish the special status for Kashmir and couldn't bring a flight like this. Wonder why?

    You must be really blind. What development BJP has done since abolishing special status to Kashmir?????. NONE. ZERO. BJP has brought more misery to Kashmiris than any relief. There is no democracy no freedom since abolishing of article 307 in Kashmir since 2019. Schools, colleges, businesses and hospitals are running in emergency like situation. Kashmir is now one big giant prison with all democratically elected people’s representatives and ordinary people in house arrest. BTW, this is not first time in history of india flights been diverted. It has happened million times congress rule. It’s a normal routine procedure and practice. Don’t jump without Chaddi on this silly news about BJP.
